I am a reader from Foshan, currently working as an English teacher in Shenzhen. I created this blog because I think a lot (and like many others, I write to self-medicate). A few years ago I moved to England and started to take long walks often. Then it morphed into long hours of journaling, and I became obsessed with organising myself in words with precision. But also, I wanted to regulate the self-indulgent side, so I publish my writing here – to write with a sense of audience. What I love about writing is it helps me figure out the truth – you never know what you are really up to until you write.
I have experimented a few ways to introduce myself – I could mention my childhood, upbringing and important life events. But they might come across more interesting in stories. You can check them out here. In a nutshell, I have many interests, including philosophy, psychology, history, literature and practical matters such as health, productivity and relationships.
I am delirious and reckless when I write and I absolutely love the feeling. It’s both a fun and a meaningful thing to do: to be creative in self-expression and to audit building blocks of life – ideas, people and decisions. I will be exposing some personal thoughts. I hope these thoughts inspire and entertain you somehow, or help you mull over whatever that troubles you too.
